Sister Act

The cover of Wonder Woman #287 (Jan 1982) read "The Titanic Team- up You Never Thought You'd See!". But as Marv Wolfman was writing both Wonder Woman and the New Teen Titans why DC thought we never expected it to see it I have no idea. The comic opened with Starfire and Wonder Girl being lured into an ambush. Art by Don Heck.

As you might have gathered the ambush was only intended to snare Wonder Girl. She was wanted as bait for her amazonian "Big Sister". In short Starfire's job was to get word to Wonder Woman that Doctor Cyber was back for revenge.

As noted on Wonder Woman's page Dr. Cyber had been looking to replace her maimed face with Wonder Woman's own since Diana's "Emma Peel" phase of the early seventies.

Cyber managed to drop the Titans but Wonder Woman broke free and the writing was on the wall. As she had never managed to beat the Amazon hand to hand Cyber seemed to realized she was finished but that she could still get revenge. Hitting the obligatory big red button Cyber flooded Donna's cell with poisonous gas then set about holding off Wonder Woman until it was too late to save her sister.

It was kind of Donna to say though it wasn't one of the Titan' greatest battles by any stretch of the imagination. Still Donna didn't figure out she could have used that Yoga technique when her cell was only full of the less lethal gas so mistakes were made all round. That's all the Donna I've got for now. Hope you've enjoyed it.
