Rude Awakening

Having spent the previous chapter of the Judas Contract unconscious it was time for the rest of the Titans to wake up shortly after the Terminator handed them over to H.I.V.E. in the concluding chapter (Tales of the Teen Titans Annual #3 1984)
Of course Terminator wasn't the only one gloating. H.I.V.E's leader also had to get in his $0.02
Which was the cue for his pet sociopath Terra to reveal her true colours to the other Titans. You have to give writer Marv Wolfman credit, usually the traitor joins the heroes after getting to know them but despite spending a year with the Titans Terra remained a dyed in the wool evil little @#$%*! to the very end. Let's get back to the gloating which this time around provided information to Grayson and his new ally Jerico who had just infiltrated the base.
But as you might be able to guess from the dialogue below a chance meeting with Terra brought them both down.
The moral of this story? Always read the fine print. The family fun didn't end there. Terminator had become involved because of his eldest son's short career and death as The Ravanger. He recognised Jerico as his younger son but was unaware of his power so Jerico was able to possess him and free the Titans. Thinking the Terminator had betrayed her Terra freaked and tried to kill everyone but only succeeded in destroying herself. Literally rather than metaphorically as they did find her body when they cleared the rubble. So ended one of the most riveting storylines in Teen Titans run with consequences that would haunt the team for years. However HIVE didn't, as detailed elsewhere they were nearly done. That's almost all the Wonder Girl material I have but there is still one last story from a few years earlier when the other Titans had to team up with Wonder Woman to save Donna from the clutches of Doctor Cyber.
